Sunshine Award! Here are my winners.

I was recently given a Sunshine Award by Julie at EasyEcoToGo. It’s been pretty gray and dreary here lately and this was just the thing to brighten up my winter days. Thank you for brightening up my day! Also, it’s nice knowing that I brought a little sunshine to someone else.

The rules are pretty simple:

21 ways to conserve electricity

Turn off the lights when you leave the room.
Unplug things when you are not using them.
Turn off the television.
Open shades instead of turning on lights.
Change to CF or LED lights
Instead of leaving your computer on all the time, turn it off or at least the monitor
Line dry your clothing
Cleaning the coils on your refrigerator.
Put large jugs of water in your freezer.
Keep the heat down if you have electric energy.
Turn outdoor motion lights off if you do not need them or turn down the sensitivity.
Try using a Solar Cooker once
Install solar panels
When cooking, use a lid to keep the heat in.
Install a Tankless water heater
Buy a hand can opener instead of wasting electricity on the plugin version
Put wrap on your windows to conserve energy
Stay away from high power usage TV models
Use power strips and turn off the entire strip when not in use.
Buy a solar power battery charger

Green Christmas blogger review

‘Tis the season to be jolly and Guygoesgreen is starting to get into the mood. Here in Fargo, snow is on the ground, the Christmas tree is up and it looks like Christmas puked in our living room.
